It shouldn’t be a surprise, but ever since Albertans sent the NDP packing to opposition, the NDP have tilted even further to the left.

They’re demanding we nationalize laundry services in our health care system – a job the private sector is more than capable of doing.

While in government, they nationalized the driver test system, resulting in ballooning wait times and pushing out 50 per cent of Alberta’s examiners – a problem United Conservatives are now fixing.

And now, they’re calling to nationalize your car insurance! We can look to our neighbours in British Columbia to see how that works out with ICBC. Their nationalized insurance has meant hundreds of millions of dollars of losses year over year while doing little to help curb the climbing costs of premiums.

What’s next in their sites? Government run liquor and cannabis stores?

The fact is, the NDP did serious damage to our insurance market when they capped rates, chasing competition away. United Conservatives are committed to fixing the current system so Albertans can save money on their rates, so the taxpayers isn’t forced to see money fly out the window, and so you can continue to choose which insurance package you like best.
