When Albertans throughout the private sector were losing their jobs, what was the NDP’s first instinct?
Raise taxes.
They raised taxes on moms and dads, on bakeries, on your home heating, your groceries, and at the pumps with their massive NDP carbon tax.
And at a time when businesses were shedding jobs and payroll, the NDP jacked up taxes on our job creators by 20 per cent.
After four years of their reckless tax hikes and risky economic plans, Albertans had enough.
They sent our United Conservative team in with a clear mandate to cut NDP tax hikes, fight Ottawa’s tax hikes, and send a message to the world that Alberta is once again open for business.
As it turns out, the NDP has learned nothing since the election.
Yikes! 😬

"The government report said the Notley carbon tax would reduce the number of jobs created by between 10,000 and 16,000 a year."#ableg pic.twitter.com/S1YM1fpNrM
They are once again demanding a massive 20 per cent hike on job creators.
Instead of fighting Ottawa’s carbon tax, they believe Albertans should continue to see prices for home heating and fueling up at the pumps skyrocket. The government’s own numbers showed that the Notley NDP’s carbon tax would mean 10,000 to 16,000 less jobs per year.
