The federal government is responsible for buying COVID vaccines and getting them to the provinces.
The fact is, to keep up with demand, Alberta needs more supply from the federal government, and quick.
Alberta’s health system has stepped up in a big way to ensure that every vaccine available has been getting out the door and into the arms of high priority Albertans, like front-line heroes treating COVID patients and our seniors in long term care centres.
After weeks of saying vaccines are not going out the door quick enough, Rachel Notley implied that either too many seniors and health care workers have received their vaccine, or that Alberta is simply moving too quickly.
Here’s how she responded to Jason Kenney’s tweet on the need for more vaccine supply.
Does she believe we should be sitting on vaccine supply?
Bizarre. She quickly deleted it after the blowback started.
The NDP just can’t get their story straight.
It would be nice if on this one issue of critical importance to Albertans, she could join in Alberta’s calls for more supply from the federal government so Alberta can rollout its vaccine supply as quickly and efficiently as possible.
